Commissions

Commissions begin with a conversation: the room, the light it gets, the subject, and how long you are willing to wait. I take a small number each year — usually six — so that each one can be painted at the pace it needs.

After we agree the subject I send a tonal study for approval, then work from life or from your photographs. You see the painting twice more before it is varnished. A fifty percent deposit reserves the place; the balance falls due on delivery, framed if you would like it framed.
